List Tab

The Meter Group List Tab shows the list of meter groups and their characteristics such as Meter Group ID, periodicity (MPI), units (UOM), and description. A detailed explanation of configurable columns is located in Meter Group Properties on the General Tab.

Calculation Status

On the list, the Calculation Status column indicates the calculation state of the meter group. When the Calculation Status is green, the meter group is current and no action is required. When the Calculation Status is yellow, the meter group is not current and should be recalculated. The meter group may be recalculated by selecting the Refresh Data action (Meter Group Actions) on the Toolbar or from the Action menu.

Contributors

The primary function of Meter Groups is aggregating meter data. Each Meter Group consists of Contributors. Contributors may be added or removed using the Insert Contributor and Remove Contributor actions. Contributors may be viewed by expanding the Meter Group. When expanded, the Contributors read-only characteristics are displayed with a gray background. These characteristics are native to the Contributor. However, the Weight and Include In Est characteristics should be configured for each Contributor. These fields are described below.

  • Weight. Meter Groups are calculated as the weighted sum of Contributors. Contributor weights are entered in this field.
  • Include in Est. If one or more contributors has the "Include in Est" flag set to false, a second estimation series is computed for the Meter Group. The Estimation series is the weighted sum of Contributors that have the this flag activated.
