Meter Group Actions

The following common actions are available on the Meter Group List Tab. A reduced set of actions are available from the Data, Statistics, and Daily Statistics tabs.

• Edit (Meter Group Properties).
• Add.
• Delete.
• Duplicate.
• Insert Contributor.
• Remove Contributor.

The following actions are only available in the Meter Group Module in the Actions menu and on the toolbar.

• Refresh Data.
• Calculate Statistics.

These actions are defined below.

Refresh Data

The Refresh Data command updates the Meter Group aggregation calculation. Each Meter Group contains a Status field indicating the calculation state of the Meter Group. When the Calculation status flag is green, the meter group calculation is current. When the Calculation status flag is yellow, the Meter group calculation is not current and should be refreshed. Selecting the Refresh Data button updates the Meter Group.

If the user chooses to refresh a meter group that is marked as not needing to be refreshed, a prompt is presented to confirm the action. If the user clicks yes, the full meter group data is recomputed. This can be a long operation for a very large meter group.

Calculate Statistics

The Calculate Statistics command recalculate statistics for a Meter Group and displays the results on the Statistics Tab and Daily Statistics Tab . For groups created without available data from which to calculate statistics, a message box will appear warning that there is "No data in calculation period."
