General Tab

The General Tab for the Meter Group Properties display the required settings for Meter Group as well as Summary Statistics for the selected Meter Group.

Common Settings

The top portion of the tab lists the common settings. These settings are defined below.

  • Meter Group ID. Meter Group name used as a unique identifier for the meter group.
  • Description. Meter group description.
  • MPI. Minutes per interval (5, 10, 15, 30, 60, Daily).
  • UOM. Units of measurement (e.g., kWh, KW).
  • Decimals. Indicates number of decimal places for rounding the display of the data.
  • Use Gas Day. This check box indicates whether to aggregate sub-daily (e.g., MPI = 60) data to the gas-day. When the box is checked, the aggregation is to the gas day. When the box is not checked, the aggregation is to the calendar day. The gas day hours are defined by the Gas Day Begins parameter in the System Settings, System Parameters Tab.
  • Use Max Values. This check box indicates whether to calculate the maximum value or sum value when aggregating high frequency data (e.g. MPI – 60) to low frequency data (e.g. MPI = Daily). When this box is checked, aggregated data returns the maximum value. When this box is not check, aggregated data returns the sum value.
  • Exclude out of Contract Data. This check box indicates whether to exclude data outside contract date range. When this box is checked, the data outside of the active contract dates for the contributing meters are excluded. When this box is not checked the data outside of the active contact dates are included. Contract dates are defined by the Contract Start and Contract Stop parameters on the Meters Module, List Tab.

Statistics

The bottom portion of the tab displays summary statistics. The statistics are calculated over the entire period for which data is available. These statistics on the General Tab are:

  • Total, Maximum, Minimum, Average. The total, maximum, minimum and average load.
  • Load Factor. The ratio of the average load to the peak load.
  • Weekend Ratio. The ratio of average daily energy usage (ADU) on weekend days to the ADU on weekdays.
  • Day Fraction. The fraction of energy use that occurs during daytime hours defined as 8 AM to 8 PM
  • Days of Data. The number of days containing data over the interval.
  • Data % Comp. The percentage of the interval that contains data.
  • HLH Energy. The sum of the daily energy during high-load hours, defined as 7 AM to 10 PM Monday through Saturday.
  • LLH Energy. The sum of the daily energy during low-load hours, defined as Hours 1 AM to 6 AM and 11 PM –12 PM Monday through Saturday and all hours on Sunday.
  • Data Last Updated. The date and time on which the Meter Groups was most recently refreshed.
  • ADU. The Average Daily Usage, calculated as the average of the meter group’s daily energy.
