Daily Statistics Tab

The Daily Statistics Tab displays monthly and annual summary statistics for the selected meter. The top section is the Chart View and provides a day-type chart for the selected meter. The bottom section of the tab is the Grid View and numerically displays the monthly and annual statistics. The displayed range is based on the Date Range option settings and the Data Range Selection Bar.

The monthly and annual statistics are computed from the historic interval data. The statistic's time scope is defined by the Data Statistics Calculation Length parameter in the System Settings, System Parameters Tab. This parameter is defined in days and specifies the number of days prior to the end of the meter’s interval data to include in the calculation. Statistics are calculated using the Calculate Statistic action (Meter Actions).

Chart View

The Chart View displays the interval data for the selected meter as a set of day-type load shapes. The Mode action button controls the day-type data displayed. The Mode options are listed below.

  • Day Type. Each day in the selected Data Range is plotted as a line on the chart. Weekdays are blue, Saturdays are green, and Sundays are red.
  • Day Type by Month. Days of data in the selected Data Range are averaged by month and day-type. Each month and day-type combination are plotted as a line on the chart. Weekdays are blue, Saturdays are green, and Sundays are red.
  • Extended Day Type. Each day in the selected Data Range is plotted as a line on the chart. Weekdays (TWT) are blue, Mondays are purple, Fridays are orange, Saturdays are green, and Sundays are red.
  • Extended Day Type by Month. Days of data in the selected Data Range are averaged by Month and extended day-type. Each month and extended day-type combination is plotted as a line on the chart. Weekdays (TWT) are blue, Mondays are purple, Fridays are orange, Saturdays are green, and Sundays are red.

Values for individual data points are viewed by selecting the data point in the chart.

Grid View

The Grid View shows the statistics for the selected meter, depicting one row for each month and year. Rows may be expanded or contracted using the “+” and “-“ commands on annual rows. The following statistics are presented.

  • Monthly ADU (Average Daily Use). The average daily energy use computed for each month. If Compute ADU is set to false for the selected meter, these cells will be editable.
  • Pct Use (Percentage Use). The percentage of annual consumption that occurs in each month.
  • Energy, Peak Value, Min Value, Avg Value. The total, maximum, minimum and average load.
  • Avg Daily Value. The average daily energy use computed for each month.
  • Load Factor. The ratio of the average load to the peak load.
  • WkEnd Ratio. The ratio of average daily energy usage (ADU) on weekend days to the ADU on weekdays.
  • Day Fraction. The fraction of energy use that occurs during daytime hours (defined as 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.)
  • Days of Data. The number of days containing data over the interval.
  • Pct Complete. The percentage of the interval that contains data.
  • HLH Energy. The sum of the energy during high-load hours, defined as 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
  • LLH Energy. The sum of the energy during low-load hours, defined as Hours 1 a.m. to 6 a.m. and 11 p.m. – 12 p.m. Monday through Saturday and all hours on Sunday.

The following chart controls and actions are available on the Statistics Tab in the View Menu, Actions Menu, and on the Toolbar:

The following action is available only on the Statistics View in the Meter Module in the View Menu and on the toolbar

  • Mode. The Mode controls the day-type data displayed as described in the Chart View section above.

The following actions are only available in the Meter Module in the Actions menu and on the toolbar. These actions are further described in the Meter Actions section.

  • Validate Data.
