Calibration Rule Configuration
The Calibration Rule Configuration only appears in the Tools Menu when viewing the Schedules. The Calibration Rule allow users to scale a group of forecasts (contributors) to a control forecast (target).
When this schedule is forecasted, the contributors are added together forming a bottom-up forecast. The ratio of Target forecast and bottom-up forecast is computed (Target/Bottom-Up) for each interval. The ratio is applied to each contributor schedule and the calibrated forecasts are written to the specified destination schedule.
To define a Calibration rule, click the Add button from the toolbar and define the following fields.
- Calibration Rule ID. This is the unique Calibration Rule identifier.
- Description. This is the description field.
- Target. This is the Target or "top-line" definition. The Target is the controlling Schedule.
- MPI. This is the periodicity of the Calibration results.
- UOM. This is the units of measure for the Calibration results.
Once rule is defined, Contributions may be added using the Insert Contributor action. Results for each contribution are configured in the Destination Node field.
