Configuration Log
The Configuration Log can be viewed by selecting View Configuration Log from the System Menu. The Configuration Log shows the history of user changes to the MetrixIDR configuration. The log identifies the user, time of change, action, and the changed values.
Display
The Configuration Log displays a single list of configuration changes. The list includes the following fields:
- Time Entered. This is the date and time of the configuration change
- Application. This field displays the source application of the configuration change.
- Computer. This field displays the computer name where the change is initiated.
- Source. This field displays the user of the configuration change
- Type. This field is the Module where the change occurred.
- ID. This is the configured item ID.
- Action. This field describes the action of the configuration change. For instance, when an item is added, the field will display "Added".
- From. This is the original value of the configured element
- To. This is the new value of the configured element
- Comment. This field maintains any comments made at the time of the configuration change..
Toolbar Options
The following functionality is available from the Task Log toolbar:
- Date Filter. Select the date filter drop-down box on the toolbar. The drop-down box contains several preset time frames for displaying the event log. The time frames include Today, Last 24 Hours, Yesterday, Last 3 Days, Last 7 Days, This Week, Last Week, This Month, Last Month, Two Months, Three Months, Six Months, Year, and All. Once the time frame is selected, the log will filter to the selected dates.
- Refresh. Refresh the Log.
- Enable Auto Refresh. Toggle to enable and disable auto refresh.
- Filter Editor.
- Filter by Selection.
- Apply Filter.
- Clear Filter.
- Export to Excel. Exports the filtered Configuration log to Excel.
