Configuring automatic estimation

IEE provides a number of estimation routines that estimate interval and register data. You can configure estimation to occur automatically as part of the reading validation process or perform manual estimation at any time. For more information about manual estimation, see Manual estimation.

• Configure estimation system settings. For more information, see Configuring or editing the validation and estimation settings.

• Configure bulk estimation task templates. For more information, see Bulk estimation service and Bulk validation operation service.

• Configure bulk estimation service. For more information, see Adding the bulk estimation service.

• Create an estimation set. For more information, see Estimation sets.

• Link the estimation set to service point channels. Typically, this is done through the program-based configuration API as part of creating configuration data in IEE. For more information about linking estimation sets and service point channels manually, see Assigning estimation sets to service point channels.
