Bulk estimation service

The Bulk Estimation Service task is multi-threaded and can be configured to run different types of estimation requests.

Use the following procedure to configure a task template:

  1. Go to System Operations > Task Management > Task Templates.

  2. Use the dropdown menu to select the Task Type and Task Template. (Click Add to create a new task template. For more information, see Adding task templates.)

  3. Configure the Task specific parameters. These parameters are defined after step 5 of this procedure.

  4. Configure the Common task template parameters. For more information, see Task template parameters.

  5. Click Save.

Task specific parameters:

ClosedRun Scaling Estimation Processor

Determines whether the bulk estimation process scales any unscaled estimates after all estimation routines have run. To run scaling after estimation, select True. For IEE to scale estimates, the Log Unscaled Estimates system setting must be set to True.

ClosedRun Manual Estimation Processor

Determines whether the instance of the bulk estimation service is available for manual estimations. To make the bulk estimation service available, select True.

ClosedRun Periodic Estimation Processor

Determines whether to run estimations based on the period defined in the Estimation Cycle Per Day system setting. To run periodic estimation, select True.

ClosedRun DCW Mode Processor

Defines how to run estimation for channels that are imported by the standard readings import (SRI) process in data collection window (DCW) mode. When this parameter is True, any read that needs estimation causes IEE to fetch the 24 hours of reading data from that channel for the current day. Any reads that require estimation are estimated at that time. When this parameter is False, IEE estimates reads as they arrive and does not fetch the entire current day.
