Models Module

The Models Module develops models of the interval data associated with a Meter or Meter Group. MetrixIDR supports a wide range of modeling options designed to effectively represent a broad range of energy profiles. Standard model calculations are performed using MetrixIDR business objects. Custom model calculations are performed using Metrix Engine.DLL. The calculation engines are designed to maximize system performance through efficient model calculation.

This Module has six tabs:

• List Tab. Lists the models and their characteristics.
• Data Tab. Displays historical load data for each model.
• Score Tab. Provides diagnostic statistics for template assignment.
• Estimation Tab. Shows predicted values, estimated coefficients, and statistics.
• Calibration Tab. Displays model backcasts and backward calibration factors.
• Forecast Tab. Displays model forecast data for the Forecast Window.

The Models Module includes a set of actions and properties only available in this module. These actions and properties are described below.

• Model Actions. This section discusses eight actions only available in the Models Module. These actions are available in the Actions Menu an on the Toolbar and include the following:

  • Export to MetrixND.

  • Score.

  • Estimate.

  • Calibration Backcast.

  • Forecast.

  • Import Estimated Project File.

  • Export Estimated Project File.

  • Auto-Assign Template.

  • Export to XML.

• Model Properties. This section describes the properties associated with each model. These properties are used to configure new models.

The Models Module contains configuration tools relevant to configuring and forecasting models. These tools available in the Tools Menu and discussed in the following sections.
