Configure Email Notification
Email Notification is available based on Task execution status or on Alert conditions. The Configure Email Notification dialog is available on the System menu. This dialog allows authorized users to Add, Delete, and Edit notification settings. Notifications can be triggered by MetrixIDR activity, MetrixIDR Services, or Forecast Monitor, and can be set to report Errors, Warnings, Informational messages, Configuration Changes, or Alerts. Email address are configured in the database for individual users.
The Configure Email Notification dialog has the following field. These fields are required for configuration.
Fields
- Category. A filter for email notification on task Category. The Category should match the Category in the MetrixIDR Event Log. It is possible to configure email notification for components of a Batch Task. In this case, the Category should match the sub-task name.
- Application. A filter for email notification on Application (i.e. MetrixIDR, MetrixIDR Services, Forecast Monitor, etc.)
- Server. A filter for email notification on Server.
- Username. A filter for email notification on Username.
- Notify on Error. Specifies whether or not to send an email when an Error message is logged in the Event Log.
- Notify on Warning. Specifies whether or not to send an email when a Warning message is logged in the Event Log.
- Notify on Info. Specifies whether or not to send an email when an Information message is logged in the Event Log.
- Notify on Configuration Change. Specifies whether or not to send an email when a configuration change is logged.
- Notify on Alert. Specifies whether or not to send an email when an Alert is triggered.
