MTS Activities

The MTS activities search results page (Search > MTS activities) provides a list of all activities produced by the current search filter.

Important!  The date range defaults to the current day. To modify the date range, click the calendar icon () in the page header. You can select presets for Today, Yesterday and today, Yesterday, Last 7 days, Last 30 days, This month, Previous month, or Custom range. The Custom range option allows you to edit the date range (the beginning date can be up to two years in the past). The data displayed on the page updates accordingly.

This table consists of the following columns:

  • ID. The activity's numeric identifier.
  • Reason code. The reason code of the activity
  • Created datetime. The date and time at which the system created the activity.
  • Status. The status of the activity: OPEN, PENDING, READY, CLOSED, or CANCELLED.
  • NMI. The 10-character National Metering Identifier.
  • Assigned to. The MTS user currently assigned to the activity (will be blank if not assigned).
  • Updated by. The MTS user who last updated the activity (will be blank if not updated).
  • Action (). Depending on the activity type, this menu provides one of the following options:

    • Transaction activity details. This option is available for an activity attached to a transaction and will take you to the parent transaction's details page (specifically, the Activities tab). From here, you can also view other details for this transaction on the General, Data, and Related tabs.
    • Activity details. Some activities can be created without being attached to a transaction. These are typically found in the database's TRANSACTION_DETAIL_ID record, linking the activity to a specific transaction. If this record is blank, then the activity is not attached to a transaction. The Activity details option takes you to a specific Activity ID page, which contains notes and error messages that can be used for troubleshooting. For more information, see Activity Details.

Tip:  To quickly locate an activity in the list, click Search (), enter all or part of an NMI, and press Enter or click Search () again. The results appear in the list. To filter the table, click the filter icon () to open a dialog box. From here, you can select any of the available known values listed by Assigned to, Status, Reason code, and Updated by.

The Actions menu () in the page header provides the following options:

  • Assign activities. Displays a user drop-down menu. Valid for selected activities currently assigned to the current user, unassigned, or a mix of both.
  • Edit status/note. Opens a dialog box that displays editable Status and Note fields. Valid for selected activities currently assigned to the current user.

Tip:  In the dialog box, the Note preset field contains a drop-down menu with previously saved notes. For future reuse of text in the Note field, select Save current note text as a preset.

  • Export. Creates a .csv or .xlsx file that contains work order details for the selected date range. The export will contain all rows returned by the current filter, unless one or more rows have been selected (in this case, only those rows will be exported). The export will contain only the columns displayed on the screen, in the same order.
  • Column order. Enables you to adjust the order of the columns. The adjusted order will persist in subsequent views if you use the same device and browser.
  • Column visibility. Enables you to adjust which columns are visible or hidden. The adjusted visibility will persist in subsequent views if you use the same device and browser.
  • Save current filter. Allows you to save the current filter values for later use. This action opens a dialog box in which you can assign a Name to the filter and designate it as Public or Private from the Category drop-down menu. A public filter will be visible to any user. A private filter will be visible only to the current user.

Note:  Saved filters must have generic date ranges so that they can be used later. From the Created datetime drop-down menu, select a generic value (Today, Yesterday and today, Yesterday, Last 7 days, Last 30 days, This month, or Previous month).
