Aggregation

IEE uses aggregation in conjunction with formula channels to run a task that combines interval data from multiple channels. Before running an aggregation task, you must configure the following:

  • Create formula channels as independent configuration objects. For more information, see UCE formulas.

  • Define task-specific parameters. For more information, see Task scheduler.

After these parameters are configured, you can generate reports, graphs, and exports from the aggregated data.

Note: You can also access Aggregation from the Meter Data Management Workbench.

Use the following procedure to configure a task template:

  1. Go to System Operations > Task Management > Task Templates.

  2. Use the dropdown menu to select the Task Type and Task Template. (Click Add to create a new task template. For more information, see Adding task templates.)

  3. Configure the Task specific parameters. These parameters are defined after step 5 of this procedure.

  4. Configure the Common task template parameters. For more information, see Task template parameters.

  5. Click Save.

Task Specific Parameters:

ClosedSelect Time Span

ClosedTime Zone

Defines the time zone IEE uses for the service point. Select the time zone if it is different from the default shown.

ClosedOnly Aggregate Channels with these Statuses

Defines the validation statuses to include in channel aggregation. Select the checkboxes to limit the aggregated data to only those values with particular validation statuses. IEE includes three options, Billing, Load Research, and Other, and you can define validation statuses for each option. Clear the checkboxes to aggregate channels with all validation statuses.

ClosedIgnore validation status conditions for register channel contributors

Defines whether the exporting of register channels or formula channels with register channel contributors depend on the validation status condition of the register channel data. When the checkbox is selected, validation status conditions of the register channel data do not affect whether or not the export proceeds. When the checkbox is cleared, IEE handles validation status conditions of the register channel data the same way that it handles interval channel data.

ClosedForce Complete

Determines if the aggregation is able to run with partial or no data. Select True to allow the aggregation to run with partial or no data. Select False to force the aggregation task to check for available data before aggregating.

ClosedLog Empty Contributors

Determines whether the Aggregation task logs empty contributors or not. By default, the setting is not enabled to improve performance. Logging empty contributors can be time consuming; for best results, minimize the use of logging.
