UCE formulas

In IEE a formula is a calculation, usually a mathematical expression, performed against interval data. You can create formulas as you go to process data as needed. You can create formula channels that process data automatically, and even Stored and nonstored formula channels, if you choose.

Formula channels contain data originating from a calculation performed on interval streams, rather than direct measurements from a meter or other measuring device. You can create formula channels as part of the IEE configuration data and associate the formula channels with service point channels.

The system requesting calculated data, which can be internal to IEE or an external program, passes a formula definition to the UCE. This formula definition must adhere to particular requirements for the UCE to recognize what it is supposed to do.
