Adding task templates

IEE includes a default task template for every task type. Create new task templates to run the same type of task but with a separate set of parameters.

Do not use the default task template. For every task type, create at least one task template for each external system, even if all of the parameters are the same. For example, if you have two external systems receiving data from the AMI Billing Export task type, create a separate task template for each external system.

1. Go to System Operations > Task Management > Task Templates.
2. Select a Task Type from the dropdown menu.
3. At the bottom of the window, click Add.
4. Enter a name for the new task template. Itron suggests using a descriptive and unique name for each task template you add to the task type, to make it easier for any user to select the proper task template in the future.
5. Click Save. The new task template now displays in the Task Template dropdown menu.
6. With the new task template selected in the dropdown list, configure the Task Specific Parameters and the Task Template Parameters.
