Compare Report Actions

The following common actions are available in the Compare Reports. All actions are available on the List Tab with a subset of actions available on the Data and Statistics Tab.

• Edit (Compare Report Properties).
• Add.
• Delete.
• Duplicate.
• Insert Contributor.
• Remove Contributor.

Insert Contributor

While Insert Contributor is a common action, additional configuration is required in Compare Report.

To assign a contributor to a Compare Report:

• On the List Tab, select the Compare IDs to be augmented. If multiple comparisons are selected, the Contributors will be assigned to each CompareID.
• Click the Insert Contributor action on the toolbar or from the Action menu.
• The Browse dialog box will appear. The dialog box contains a list of all potential Contributors. Only Contributors with the same periodicity are available as potential Contributors.
• Select the Contributor(s) to be added. Click the Add Selected button at the bottom of the dialog box. To assign every item that is in the filtered list, click the Add All button. Clicking Close will close the dialog box.

To configure the Contributors in the Compare report, the following fields may be edited based on the type of Contributor selected. The remaining fields, highlighted in gray, may not be edited.

• Data Type. This specifies the data type of the Contributor. For Schedules, the data type options are History, Estimated, Forecast, Published, and Medium Term Forecast. For Weather Stations and Weather Zones, the data type options are History and Forecast. A Contributor for each selected data type may be assigned to the Comparison.
• Base. This field indicates the based series for which comparison statistics are computed. By default, this is set for the History data type. Only one contributor in the contributor list may be designated as the base series.
• Line Color. This field sets the color for in the charts on the Data Tab and Statistics Tab.
• Display Order. Determines the order the contributors on the Data Tab and Statistics Tab.
• Label. This is a text description field for each contributor.
• Medium Term Scenario ID. This field sets the Medium-Term Scenario ID associated with the contributor. This is field is only available for Medium Term forecast contributors.
• Weather Forecast ID. This field sets the Weather Forecast ID associated with the contributor. This is field is only available for Weather station and Weather Zone contributors.
• Weather Concept ID. This field sets the Weather Concept ID associated with this contributor. This is only available for Weather station and Weather Zone contributors.

The remaining fields in the contributor list are determined by the contributor properties and may not be changed.

Tools Action

The following action is only available in the Compare Report on the tool bar or Tools menu. The actions is used to add multiple contributors to a Compare ID.
