Monthly Forecast Tab

The Monthly Forecast Tab displays the forecast aggregated at the monthly level for the selected Medium Term Forecast Scenarios. Three selection boxes on the toolbar control the data selection.

  • Medium Term Forecast Selection. This selection box specifies the Medium Term Forecast scenario.
  • Schedule Selection. This selection box specifies the contributing Schedule.
  • Contributor Selection. This selection box specifies the contributor to the Schedule. The first item in the selection box, "(All Contributors)", shows sum of all contributors to the Schedule.

The display consists of two panes. The Left Pane shows monthly statistics. The Right Pane graphs the monthly statistics.

Left Panel

The left panel shows the numerical summary of the forecast. The forecast summarizes monthly loads into the following statistics. All statistics are calculated at the monthly level.

  • Total. The sum of the energy for the month
  • LLH. The sum of the energy during high-load hours, defined as 7 AM to 10 PM Monday through Saturday.
  • HLH. The sum of the energy during low-load hours, defined as Hours 1 AM to 6 AM and 11 PM – 12 PM Monday through Saturday and all hours on Sunday.
  • Average. The average energy for the month.
  • LLHAverage. The average energy during high-load hours, defined as 7 AM to 10 PM Monday through Saturday.
  • HLHAverage. The average energy during low-load hours, defined as Hours 1 AM to 6 AM and 11 PM – 12 PM Monday through Saturday and all hours on Sunday.
  • Max. The peak interval value for the month.
  • Min. The minimum interval value for the month.
  • Load Factor. The monthly load factor.

  • Coincident Peak. The Schedule contributor’s load at the time of the Schedule monthly peak. This is only populated when viewing a Schedule contributor.

Right-Panel

The right panel shows two graphs of the monthly statistics. The top chart shows the monthly energy. The bottom chart shows monthly averages, maximum values, minimum values, and coincident peak (when viewing a Schedule contributor). For each chart, series may be toggles on and off using the selection box in the upper right corner of the charts. Numerical values for a month may be viewed by moving the mouse over the chart.
