Retrieving communication logs

Use this function to view communication logs of devices read by Service Mode servers.

1. Go to Meter Data Management > Tools > Data Retrieval > Communication Logs.

2. Check Filter By Recording Device to view communication logs for a specific meter. Select Recorder ID, Pool ID, or Unknown ID.

   • For Recorder ID, click Search to specify a particular meter or a range of meters, and select one from the resulting list. Do not select Pool ID. This ID type is obsolete.

   • For Unknown ID, select the ID from the dropdown menu.

3. Check Filter By Date Received to view communication logs by the date readings were received. Use the dropdown menus and buttons to specify a particular date or a range of dates.

4. To define the Date Received, choose an option:

   • Select the Time Period from the dropdown menu and select the appropriate date and time criteria.

   • (Optional) Click Reading Groups to view and select a particular meter reading group. For more information about using reading groups, see Reading group selection.

   • (Optional) Click Schedule Dates to select a Time of Use (TOU) schedule. For more information, see Schedule dates.

5. Check Filter By Task ID to view communication logs for a specific task ID and enter the Task ID.

6. Click Retrieve Logs. IEE displays the communication logs that match your selection requirements, as well as associated log attributes and any additional information.

7. Select the row of the communications log that you want to view based on the connect and disconnect time. The communication log results appear.
