Service mode cleanup
Use this function to remove any extraneous data left over from IEE Service Mode task processing. Use the Task Scheduler to define the Service Mode Cleanup task to run on a recurring schedule. This ensures the database tables are automatically maintained. Depending on the volume of data collected for a Service Mode system, you should not need to store more than a month of data in Service Mode. The set the recurring task to run on a daily or weekly basis during a time of low activity.
In addition to the Service Mode Cleanup task, you must define a runner type in IEE to run the Service Mode Cleanup task. The Service Mode Cleanup task purges data older than the Cleanup Days task parameter for the following tables:

Register Data

Communications Log
-
Event Data
-
HH Logs
-
Task Logs
-
xiCOMM Message Logs

Data Directory and data files
Use the following procedure to remove extraneous data:

Go to Meter Data Management >Tools > Data Retrieval > Service Mode Cleanup. The task type defaults to Service Mode Clean Up.

Under Task Type, select the Task Template from the dropdown menu. At present, DefaultServiceModeCleanup is the only available template.
You can also access the Service Mode Cleanup task from Task templates.

Under Task specific parameters, Configure the following parameters:

Clean Up Days. Enter the number of days for which you want to keep communication remnants.

External System. Use the dropdown menu to select the name of the IEE Service Mode System where the cleanup is to be performed.
Note: The External System is defined in ItronEE ExternalSystem table, which populates the dropdown menu.
