Validation queue interface

Use the Queue window to view the list of all items in the reading validation queue and summary information by exception and by process. The Queue window also provides several tools for resolving queue items.

Use the Diagnostics window to view more information about the selected service point, to troubleshoot failed requests, and to resolve queue items. For more information, see Diagnostics and troubleshooting.

Viewing the Validation queue:

  1. In the Meter Data Management workbench, expand the Queues and Diagnostics section.

  2. Click Validation Queue.

The Queue window contains the following panes:

  • Top Pane. Contains filter, search, and refresh features. Other features vary depending on the queue or monitor you are viewing. For example, the Service Order Monitor provides a Create button that allows you to request a new service order. In the readings validation and AMI billing export queues, the Diagnostics window provides Information and Action menus with items specific to the queue. The Queue window provides Statistics, a summary of item assignments and statuses that requires administrator permissions to view.

  • Summary Pane. Displays a summary of the selected search and filter criteria.

  • Filter Pane. Contains a secondary set of filter criteria, including queue state, queue user, validation rule, and rule result. Each filter displays the total count of queue items that match that criteria. Administrators perform bulk actions, such as assigning queue items to a new owner or manually accepting queue items, by right-clicking a filter. The action applies to all queue items that match the selected search and filter criteria. For more information, see Filtering the reading validation queue and Searching the queue.

  • Queue Item List. Displays queue items that match the selected search and filter criteria. For more information, see Queue item list.

  • Queue Item Details. Displays detailed information about the selected queue item, including validation results for each validation rule, validation state, fail and warn thresholds, and validation date. For more information, see Queue item details pane.
