Connect or reconnect service

This service allows you to connect or reconnect a meter immediately or at a future date.

Warning! For safety reasons, do not reconnect gas and electric meters without a technician on site. Itron metering systems do not allow the meter to be reconnected without manual intervention from on-site utility personnel. Do not connect service to the meter unless the technician asks you to connect service.

  1. Go to AMI > Processing > AMI Connect Disconnect.

  2. Click Using the search utility to locate the meter ID.

  3. After selecting a meter ID, place the cursor over the Gear icon () to view the meter's capabilities. If a meter ID is not specified, meter capabilities are not applicable.

  4. Select an option:

    • Disconnect
    • Reconnect

  5. Select Requires User Intervention to connect at the request of an on-site service technician.

    Note: Verify that the on-site meter technician presses the AMI (advanced metering infrastructure) button on the meter.

  6. To schedule a future reconnection, enter the Start Date and time you want the reconnection to occur. For an immediate reconnection, leave the Start Date at the default.

  7. Click Yes to reconnect service.

  8. Click Back to cancel or to select a different account.

  9. The progress of the request appears in the Status box.
