Editing interval data and register reads

IEE offers several data editing modes that allow you to improve meter data integrity. IEE validates the edited data before saving the new values to the database. For more information, see Reading validation.

IEE stores the edited data as a new version of the data and archives the original data as a historical version of the data. When you use Editing to delete data, IEE inserts a new record and marks the old record with a status of Deleted.

IEE keeps detailed log information for auditing purposes, including the IEE user account that modified the data and what data was modified. For more information, see Viewing the edit log.

Only interval channel and register channel data can be edited. You cannot edit formula channel data. If the edited data affects a stored formula channel value, IEE updates the stored formula channel value in the next successful aggregation process. Non-stored formula channels calculate values from the current version of the data at the time the result is requested.

For more information about editing an interval channel or a register channel that is linked to an interval channel, see Editing procedures

For more information about editing a register channel that is not linked to an interval channel, see Editing register reads.
