Adding or modifying rate assignments
You can add or modify rate assignments that affect a single service point instance but that do not change the service point program. For more information about rate assignments, see Rate assignment overview.
- From Application Data go to Program-Based Configuration > Configuration Maintenance.
- Click Existing to search for and select the service point instance. (Follow the standard IEE Using the search utility rules.)
- Expand the Rate Assignments section.
-
To add a rate assignment, click New and select the checkboxes of the rates to assign.
Click OK.
To modify a rate assignment, expand the rate assignment.
- If this rate is a rate the service point is currently using, select Is Current. More than one rate schedule can be designated as a current rate.
Note: The Effective Start and Effective End dates define the time period that this rate schedule is assigned to the service point. You can enter the dates directly into the date fields or click the down arrows to select dates from a calendar.
IEE does not support overlapping effective periods for the same rate assignment. For example, you cannot create additional effective periods for a rate assignment that starts at the beginning of time (the earliest date in IEE) and continues to the end of time (the latest date in IEE). IEE supports contiguous and non-contiguous effective periods. Time periods between rate assignments can be left empty, with no rate assigned at all.
Note: Effective date and times on rates, bill attributes, and rate assignments are shown relative to the user's workgroup time zone rather than relative to the Service Point time zone. The Service Point time zone is used for bill determinant and rate calculations.
- In Effective Start Date, enter the date and time for this rate assignment to begin.
- In Effective End Date, enter the date and time for this rate assignment to end.
- If the rate schedule has bill attributes, expand the bill attribute to make changes. (Not all rate schedules include bill attributes.)
- Value. Enter a new value.
- Effective Start Date. Set the date and time this bill attribute becomes effective.
Note: To modify a bill attribute value, expand the existing bill attribute and click Add New Billing Attribute. IEE creates a duplicate bill attribute instance. Change the effective dates so that the new bill attribute values do not overlap the previous instance. (A new instance of the bill attribute that contains the same values as the previous instance for an overlapping period of time is not valid.) Update the bill attribute values as needed.
- Scroll back up to the top of the window and click Save.
