Creating a service point program
You may use an existing program as a starting point for creating a new program. To find an existing program, use the Filter/search option.
- Go to Meter Data Management > Application Data > Program Based Configuration > Program Configuration Manager.
- Click the Service Point tab.
- Click New.

- Configure the following parameters:
Program ID
Defines the program ID used to run the report.
Commodity
Defines the type of utility service. The valid values are as follows.
- Electric
- Gas
- Water
- Electric and water
- Electric and gas
- Gas and water
- Intangible. Intangible refers to items such as taxes, which are not measured commodities.
Commodity type is also called market type.
Description
A text description for this entity.
IsEnabled
Determines if you can create an instance using this program. When not specified, the default value is true.
Category
Determines the category of the program. This is a user-defined grouping of programs defined in the Program Category code table. For more information, see Program category code table in the Rich Client Help.
Time Zone
Defines the time zone that corresponds to the time period and start/end dates you select in the task template.
- For Rate Event Report, the time zone format is PacificUS, PacificUSNoDst, and EasternUS.
- For TOU Schedules, the IDs cannot start with a numeric character. For example, "400_TOUSchedule" is not a valid ID. Instead, name the ID "TOUSchedule_400".
AMI Reading Import Behavior
Determines whether readings imported for this service point should go through the AMI Readings Import (ARI) or through the legacy XML Readings Import. This parameter only takes affect when using the ARI functionality. The valid values are as follows.
- Exclude Readings from AMI Import
- Include Readings in AMI Import
Data Routing Program
Defines the default data routing program for all service point instances that are associated with this service point program. To override the default data routing program, specify the data routing program on the service point instance. For more information, see Working with data routing program assignments.
UDA Defaults
User Defined Attributes are template values used to populate fields on the service point instance. Define the UDA in the User defined attribute table, and specify default values for the attribute on the
User-defined attribute default values screen.
- Create premises, addresses, service point channels, and other configuration attributes by expanding those sections and clicking Create or New.
- Create or modify rate assignments by expanding the section. See Adding or modifying rate assignments.
- Click Save as XML to save the file as an .xml type file outside of IEE.
