Working with data routing program assignments
Once you have created a data routing program, assign that program to one or more service point instances. Do this from the Configuration Maintenance screen.
-
Go to Meter Data Management > Application Data > Program-Based Configuration > Configuration Maintenance.
-
Click Existing to find an existing service point.
-
On the Query tab, Using the search utility for the service point.
Once the service point instance is displayed, use the Configuration Maintenance screen to:

Assign a data routing program to one or more service point instances so that the routing program configuration applies to the specified service points.

The routing program - service point instance relationship is defined by the Effective Start and End Date. You can change which data routing program is assigned to the service point instance. In doing so, you are effectively creating a new version of the routing program - service point instance relationship. When you specify an Effective Start Date for the new version, IDM populates the Effective End Date of the previous version with the date that you specified. IDM maintains a history of the routing program - service point instance versions, displaying the start and end date for each version.
Note: When you create a new version of a routing program, and the effective dates for the reading spans two routing program versions, the reading end date determines which routing program version is used

-
Go to Meter Data Management > Application Data > Program-Based Configuration > Configuration Maintenance.
-
Click Existing.
-
Search for a service point.
-
Expand the Data Routing view.
-
Click Assign Data Routing Program.
The Date Selection dialog appears.
-
Specify the Effective Start Date. (The earliest day from which to begin the association between the service point instance and the data routing program.)
-
Click OK to close the Date Selection dialog.
The Effective End Date is automatically populated with the end of time (EOT) date. (The day that the association between the service point instance and the data routing program ended. The first time you specify an Effective Start Date, IDM automatically populates this field with the end of time (EOT). When you create a new version of the service point - data routing program association, you specify a new Effective Start Date for the new version. IDM automatically populates the Effective End Date of the previous version with the date that you specified.)
-
From the Data Routing Program field, select the data routing program to associate with this service point.
-
Click Save from the top of the Configuration Maintenance screen.

-
Go to Meter Data Management > Application Data > Program-Based Configuration > Configuration Maintenance.
