Viewing service point details
The Account page's Service Point Details panel provides information about the selected service points, including meter information, usage, flow, and events.
-
Clicking Collapse (
or
) collapses the panel so that only the title bar is visible. Clicking Expand (
or
) expands the collapsed panel to the normal view.

(Single service point selected only) Meter tab. This tab displays the details of the meter installed at the selected service point, including the latest consumption or register read, meter size, meter type, ERT ID, and data source. This information can provide clues to issues affecting usage and flow. For example, meters should be the right size for the location, type of account, and expected use. You can also view past register reads and, if you are reading the ERT through Fixed Network or OpenWay Collection Manager (OWCM), perform an On-Demand Read.
Important! If the message No endpoint installed appears in the place of fields, then either the current service point has never had a meter and an endpoint installed together for its existence in Itron Analytics, or the historic service point does not have a meter and endpoint installed together during the connected time frame of the account.
Tip: If a service point that was Inactive or was not attached to the selected account for the entirety of the selected date range is selected, this tab will display the most current information from when the service point was last attached and active on the account. Register read lookup and remote arm and disconnect features will be disabled.
Tip: If a traditional compound meter is selected, this tab has two sub-tabs, one for each portion of the meter. If a fire line compound meter is selected, this tab has three sub-tabs.
-
Previous register read dates and times by hour can be viewed. For more information, see Selecting a register read.
-
(Deployments with Fixed Network or OWCM only) The latest read of some meters can be requested. This is not available for register-only meters, service points without a meter attached, or if On-Demand Read is not configured in the Admin Portal. For more information, see Requesting an on-demand read.
-
Actions related to remote arm, connect, and disconnect of meters can be performed. This is available for Intelis Gas Meters, OpenWay Riva Gas Disconnect devices, Gas Gate Remote Disconnect (GGRD) gas meters, and 100W+ and 500W water endpoints with a connected water control valve (WCV). For more information, see Controlling a meter remotely.
-
Meter tab fields
-
Reading time. Defaults to the date and time of the most recent register read. Click this to view previous register read dates and times by hour. For more information, see Selecting a register read.
-
Reading data. Defaults to the value of the most recent register read. This value changes to display the register read value selected in the Read Time menu.
-
(Deployments with OWCM only) Valve status. The current status of the meter's valve. This is available for Intelis Gas Meters, OpenWay Riva Gas Disconnect devices, Gas Gate Remote Disconnect (GGRD) gas meters, and 100W+ and 500W water endpoints with a connected water control valve (WCV). Possible statuses for valves are:
-
Open. The meter's valve is open and gas or water can flow.
-
Armed. The meter's valve is closed, but is ready to be opened by a utility worker.
-
Restricted. The valve is partially open. Some water can flow.
-
Closed. The meter's valve is closed and gas or water cannot flow.
-
Disconnected. The valve is completely closed and gas or water cannot flow.
-
Pending. A meter status request has been sent, and Itron Analytics is awaiting a response.
-
Overridden Armed. The meter's valve was overridden to be armed, but is ready to be opened by a utility worker.
-
Overridden Closed. The meter's valve was overridden to be closed and gas or water cannot flow.
-
Overridden Open. The meter's valve was overridden to be open and gas or water can flow.
-
Unknown. System cannot retrieve the current status.
-
Not available. There are several conditions that can cause this meter status.
-
The OWCM system is not enabled on the tenant.
-
The water control valve (WCV) is not connected.
-
The water meter is not available in OWCM.
-
The water meter is either a traditional or fireline compound meter. Water disconnect is not allowed for compound meters.
-
The water meter is a register-only metered service point. Water disconnect is not allowed for register-only.
-
No meter is attached to the service point.
-
-
-
Meter #. The meter's identification number.
-
Meter S/N. The meter's serial number.
-
Meter Install Date. The date when the meter was installed. If you are viewing a traditional compound meter or a fire line compound meter, then view the Meter Install Date and ERT Install Date fields on the sub-tabs for the specific meter portions ERT/meter status.
Tip: If a current service point displays the Meter Install Date as Unavailable, the meter, the endpoint, or both the meter and the endpoint have been removed. On-demand read is unavailable. The last available data from the time when there was a valid ERT/meter installed is what is displayed in the other fields.
-
Register #. The meter's register identification number.
-
Register S/N. The meter's register serial number.
-
Reading Source. The expected collection engine providing meter data to Itron Analytics as defined in the MDI. For example, Fixed Network or Field Collection System (FCS).
-
Size. The meter's size.
-
Type. The meter's type.
-
Code. The meter's utility-defined code.
-
ERT ID. The ERT identification number installed on the meter.
Tip: Dual-channel 200W endpoints comprise two channels, Channel 0 and Channel 1. The structure for the 200W ERT ID is <Device ID>#<Channel ID> ..where the Channel 0 ID is a 0, and the Channel 1 ID is a 1. For example, the endpoint ID 80045678#0 indicates Channel 0 on a 200W endpoint.
-
ERT Install Date. The date when the ERT was installed.
-
Commodity Usage Type. Your utility's unique designation for the service point's type of usage. This is an optional configurable field. Some examples of Commodity Usage Types are irrigation, residential, or other customer types your utility might set up. If your utility utilizes the Commodity Usage Type, then it is included in creation of peer groups and reflected in the Usage vs. Peers KPI calculation.

Usage & Flow tab. This tab displays usage and flow data for the selected service points during the selected date range. Results are categorized by weekdays and weekends because use often varies between these types of days.
Tip: If a register-only meter is selected, or if a service point that was not attached to the selected account for the entirety of the selected date range is selected, this tab will not display any information.
Tip: This tab supports estimated and missing reads. Estimated reads are indicated with a hollow icon
. For more information on estimation, see Itron Analytics Estimation in the Itron Analytics Admin Portal Help. Missing reads are indicated with a solid icon
. In the Fixed Network collection engine, you can fill missing data by performing an On-Demand Interval Data Read. For more information, see "Performing an On-Demand Interval Data Read" in the latest Network Collection Engine User Guide.
