Requesting an on-demand read

Use this procedure to request an On-Demand Read. This is only available for deployments with Fixed Network or OpenWay Collection Manager (OWCM). This is not available for register-only meters, service points without a meter attached, or if On-Demand Read is not configured in the Admin Portal.

  1. On the Account Page's Service Point Details panel, select the Meter tab.

  2. Click On Demand Read.

    You will receive a notification that contains the On-Demand Read result and value (if successful) when the process is complete. The notification will be available for up to 48 hours. If the On-Demand Read is successful, the Reading Time and Reading Data will update with the new values.
