General Tab

The General Tab for Medium Term Properties displays the required settings for the Medium-Term Scenario. The following fields are displayed on the General Tab.

  • Medium Term Scenario ID. User-assigned text identifier for the Medium-Term Scenario.
  • Description. Text description of the Medium-Term Scenario.
  • Start Date. The start date for the forecast Scenario. If the start date is changed after the medium-term scenario is run, the start date controls the data range saved from the forecast scenario.
  • End Date. The end date for the forecast Scenario. If the end date is changed after the medium-term scenario is run, the end date controls the data range saved from the forecast scenario.
  • Weather Scenario. This field specifies the Weather Scenario for developing the Medium-Term Scenario forecast. Weather Scenarios are defined on the Weather Scenarios Tab in the Weather Module.
  • XDriver Scenario. This field specifies the XDriver Scenario to use for developing the Medium- Term Scenario forecast. XDriver Scenarios are defined in the XDriver module.

  • Locked. When the Lock option is checked, the Medium-Term scenario cannot be recalculated.
  • Ignore Contract End Date. This field is used in the conjunction with the Retention Multiplier field. When the Ignore Contract End Date is selected, the meter contract end date is not used in the forecast. As a result, a forecast will be generated beyond the contract end date.
  • Fill Forecast with Actuals. When checked, this field will place actual values in the forecast period if they are available. The corresponding models must also have ‘Fill Forecast with Actuals’ enabled for this to apply.
  • Retention Multiplier. The Retention Multiplier is only active when the Ignore Contract End Date is selected. This numerical value allows the user to define a retention multiplier once the forecast extends beyond the contract end date. The values should range between 0 and 1. A value of 1.0 means 100% of the load forecast will be retained when the contract end date is surpassed. A value of 0.25 means 25% of the load forecast will be retained when the contract end date is surpassed. A blank value means 0% of the load forecast will be retained when the contract end date is surpassed.
  • Last Calculated. The date and time when the last forecast was generated.
