Weather Scenarios Tab

A weather scenario represents a created view of future weather conditions. The Weather Scenarios Tab creates the weather scenarios. The scenarios are used for two purposes. First, weather scenarios are used to fill missing historic and forecast weather data during the daily forecast process. The weather scenario assignment is defined in the Weather Forecasts Tab, Fill Weather Scenario field. Second, weather scenarios are used as the forecast in the Medium Term Module.

The Weather Scenarios Tab configures the weather scenarios. The tab contains the following fields:

• Weather Scenario ID. The weather scenario identifier.

• Description. This is the description field.

• Display Order. The order number by which the weather group is displayed.

• Weather Scenario Type. There are two options for the weather scenario type: DayType and Calendar.

  • DayType. DayType indicates that the scenario is defined by typical day-types. The scenario is rotated onto future calendar days based on future day-type definitions.

  • Calendar. Calendar indicates that the scenario data is defined by an explicit future calendar of weather values.

Once the scenario is defined, the scenario data are imported using the Import Wizard for Weather Scenario Data.
