General Tab
The General tab for the Portfolio Properties displays the required and common settings for portfolio items. These settings are listed below.
Common Settings
- PortfolioID. User-assigned text identifier for Portfolio item.
- ImportID. Unique character string used to find ADU data during the portfolio import.
- Description. Text description of the Portfolio item.
- Active. Checking the Active Box indicates an active Item. Only Active portfolios are forecast regardless of the active flag on the assigned model. Users may manually run a forecast for an inactive portfolio item by selecting the item and selecting the Forecast (Portfolio Actions) action.
- Model. Name of the model used for the portfolio item.
- Weather. Name of the weather zone used in the model. Typically, the weather zone matches the weather zone associated with the model (as assigned in the Models Module). However, the weather zone may be changed for use with the Portfolio.
- MPI. Minutes per interval (15, 30, 60, or daily).
- UOM. Unit of measurement (e.g., kWh or KW).
- Method. Calculation Method (Percentage, Absolute, Relative, Monthly). The methods used by the Forecast action as described in the Portfolio Actions section.
- Decimals. Indicates number of decimal places for rounding.
- ImportUOM. Unit of measurement (e.g., kWh or KW) used in the import file.
Forecast Overrides
Forecast Overrides. Forecast overrides are final adjusted to the Portfolio forecast. These overrides are XDrivers and configured in the XDrivers Module. Three override adjustments may be used and are defined below. If both the XDriver Multiplier and Adder are included, the XDriver Multiplier is applied first and the XDriver Adder is applied second. If the XDriver Override is included, this override will apply and ignore the XDriver Adder and/or XDriver Multiplier.
XDriver Adder. Interval data values for Adder variables will be added to the Forecast.
XDriverMultiplier. Interval data values for Multiplier variables will be used multiplicatively to scale the forecast.
XDriverOverride. Interval data values for Override variables will be used in place of the model generated forecasts.
Exogenous Drivers
- Exogenous Drivers. Exogenous Drivers are independent variables included in the selected Model when the Model has an assigned XDriver. The XDriver ID must be assigned to the Portfolio by using the Add XDriver button. Typically, the XDriver matches the XDriver associated with the Model (as assigned in the Models Module). However, the XDriver may be changed for use with the Portfolio.
