Medium Term Module

The Medium-Term Module is designed to forecast schedules beyond the short-term forecast time horizon. The forecast duration may extend from multiple months to years.

Medium Term forecasts consists of two components. First the forecast is constructed as a list of schedules from the Schedule Module. These schedules are inserted into a Medium-Term Scenario ID as contributors. Second, the forecast is defined by a Weather Scenario and an XDriver Scenario. The Weather and XDriver Scenarios are assigned on the General tab of the Medium Term Properties dialog. When the Medium-Term forecast is generated, the models (or profiles) associated with the schedules are run with the assigned weather scenario and XDriver scenario to create the forecast.

The Medium-Term Module has three tabs.

  • List Tab. Shows the Medium-Term Scenarios and their associated properties.
  • Monthly Forecast Tab. Displays the Medium-Term Forecast results at the schedule level on a monthly basis.
  • Forecast Tab. Displays the Medium-Term Forecast results at the schedule level on an interval basis.
