SetDevice

The SetDevice element creates or updates the configuration for a device and links the device to the meter channel.

Typically, SetDevice is a child of SetChannel. However, you can send SetDevice at the top level to update devices without affecting the meter channel. If you send the SetDevice element at the top level, then you must include the ChannelNumber attribute.

Important! The SetDevice element and DeviceType attribute are required for every XML file. The file will not validate they are not included.
