Billing Invoices

The Billing Invoices tab allows a Billing Operator or Billing Analyst to view a subset of billing data based on search criteria. A Billing Analyst can also remove invoices from the dispatch. Dispatch actions are limited to the Billing Analyst persona only.

Tip:  To filter the table, click the filter icon () to open a dialog box. From here, you can select a Data type to display: Current (default setting) or Historical. In addition, you can select any of the available known values listed by Network tariff code, FRMP, and Invoice status.

By default, the table is sorted by the Invoice number column. The table consists of the following columns:

  • Invoice number. The invoice's numeric identifier. Click the invoice number to view itemized details about the transactions associated with the invoice (for more information, see Invoice Details).

Note:  If the invoice has a credit applied to it, the invoice number ends with an appended C and may include an additional letter in some cases.

  • Invoice date. The date that the charges within the invoice apply to.
  • Payment due date. The date when the payment from the retailer is due.
  • FRMP. The Financially Responsible Market Participant for whom the invoice was created.
  • Gross invoice amount. The pre-tax invoice balance.
  • GST amount. The Goods and Services Tax (GST) charged on the invoice.
  • Net invoice amount. The total invoice balance (GST included).
  • Record count. The number of transactions associated with the invoice. To view the transaction records, click Action () and select View details.
  • Invoice status. The current status, for example, READY, PROCESSED, or HELD FOR NEXT DISPATCH.
  • Updated by. The application or MTS user that last updated the invoice.
  • Updated datetime. The date and time at which the invoice was updated in MTS.
  • Action (). Provides the option to View details about the transactions associated with the invoice listed on that row (same as clicking the invoice number). For more information, see Invoice Details.

Tip:  To quickly locate one or more invoices, click Search (), enter all or part of an Invoice number, Transaction ID, NMI, or Net invoice amount. You can use Boolean operators (such as AND, OR, and NOT) between additional search terms. Press Enter or click Search () again. The results appear in the list. To clear the results, click the X in the search box.

The Actions menu () in the page header provides the following options:

  • Hold for next month. For selected invoice rows, this action changes the invoice status to HELD FOR NEXT DISPATCH. Available only if the Data type filter selection is set to Current.
  • Remove from dispatch. For selected invoice rows, this action changes the invoice status to REMOVED. Available only if the Data type filter selection is set to Current.
  • Reinstate invoice. For selected invoice rows, this action changes the invoice status to READY. Available only if the Data type filter selection is set to Current.
  • Export. Creates a .csv or .xlsx file that contains work order information for the selected date range. The export will contain all rows returned by the current filter, unless one or more rows have been selected (in this case, only those rows will be exported). The export will contain only the columns displayed on the screen, in the same order.
  • Column order. Enables you to adjust the order of the columns. The adjusted order will persist in subsequent views if you use the same device and browser.
  • Column visibility. Enables you to adjust which columns are visible or hidden. The adjusted visibility will persist in subsequent views if you use the same device and browser.
  • Pre-dispatch report. Downloads a report (.xlsx format) that is generated based on the selected date range. The pre-dispatch report includes the entire set of results, regardless of filters, searches, or selected records. The generated spreadsheet consists of four tabs: Main Summary, Top 10, Daily Summary by Retailer, and Daily Summary.
