Consumption Details
For activities with reason code MDN_ABNORMAL_CONSUMPTION
, the Consumption Details panel appears on the Activity Details screen.
Important! MTS monitors data as it is being prepared for delivery to prevent abnormally high reads from being sent to other market participants or AEMO. Abnormal consumption is sometimes found to be legitimately high and should be sent after all. Users can use the Submit to External System option to submit reads that are being trapped for abnormal consumption. Reads with an activity status of OPEN
, FAILED
, or PENDING
are eligible for release. Navigate to Search > MTS Transactions > Activities tab > Activity Actions menu.
The Consumption Details panel consists of the following fields:
- Start read date. The start date of the consumption reading period that failed the Abnormal Consumption check.
- End read date. The end date of the consumption reading period that failed the Abnormal Consumption check.
- Consumption. The calculated consumption as KWh between the Start read date and End read date.
- Days. The number of days between the Start Read Date and End Read Date (treating the dates as inclusive, so a range of 16/12 – 18/12 equals three days).
- Average daily load. The current average daily load (ADL) value.
-
Implied average daily load. The calculated average daily load value:
Implied ADL = Consumption / Days
-
Implied ratio. The ratio of actual and implied average daily load value:
Implied Ratio = Implied ADL / ADL
- Quality flag. The code of the quality of the consumption data. This returns the lowest quality recorded against any of the reads within the date range, where the flags are (from highest quality to lowest):
A
= Actual data recovered from metering installation or data loggerF
= Substitutions that are considered permanent or final and will not be replaced by actual dataS
= Substituted dataE
= Estimated data (forward estimate)N
= None
- Suffix. The associated suffix of the NMI with an abnormal consumption reading.
