Test summary

The IEE test team ran a variety of test cases designed to ensure a high-quality release. The IEE test team organized testing into the following four methods: manual testing, automated regression testing (ART), security testing, and upgrade path testing.

Manual testing

The new features listed in the new enhancements section of this document were manually tested at a functional level. The IEE test team also performed targeted manual testing, including:

  • Testing of resolved issues integrated from previously released hot fixes

  • Testing of IEE 10.4 upgrade process

  • ISAIM testing with ISAIM 2.1.3

  • Service Mode testing using Pervasive (Actian Zen v15)

  • Testing of CSR UI

  • Installation testing of Click Once installer

Manual testing was performed using a mix of operating systems and databases:

  • App Server Operating Systems: Windows Server 2019 and 2022

  • Client Operating System: Windows 10 and 11

  • Microsoft SQL Server database: 2019 and 2022 (Enterprise & Standard editions)

  • Oracle 19c database

Automated regression testing (ART)

ART included running the full IEE product line, Meter Data Management (MDM) on both the Microsoft SQL Server 2019 and 2022 and Oracle 19c database platforms, as well as on the Windows Server 2019 and 2022 and Windows 10 for client machines.

Upgrade path testing

Upgrade testing was performed in the SQA environment for the following upgrade scenarios. The following table shows the upgrade paths that were successfully tested. The supported upgrade paths are described in the Upgrade paths section.
