Database firewall

If the web server on which the Itron Platform component is installed and the database server on which Itron Identity database is installed are not co-located—and a Windows Firewall or any other intermediate firewalls are running—then ensure that a firewall rule is added to allow access to port 1433 (or the port that the Identity database has been configured to listen to).

Note: If you select the option to install the Identity database on an Embedded SQL Server, port 1433 is the default port. See Installing Identity database on an embedded SQL Server.
