Multiple meter swaps with a new installation

To conduct multiple meter swaps among three service points (with a new meter installation at Service Point B), you must first complete a standard Swap & Remove operation, removing Meter 1 from Service Point A and moving Meter 2 from Service Point B to Service Point A. Then, using the IEE Rich Client user interface, remove Meter 3 from Service Point C and reuse it at Service Point B.

To accomplish this type of meter swap scenario, take the following steps:

  1. Using the Swap & Remove procedure, move Meter 2 from Service Point B to Service Point A and remove Meter 1 from Service Point A. This leaves Service Point B without a meter.

  2. Remove Meter 3 from Service Point C and connect it to Service Point B.

    To perform this operation, use the following procedure:

    1. From the IEE Rich Client, navigate to Meter Data Management > Application Data > Program-Based Configuration > Configuration Maintenance.

    2. Select Existing. The Search Utility dialog appears. On the Query tab, enter the service point ID for Service Point B in the Value box.

    3. Click Next.

    4. Select Edit between Meter and Service Point.

    5. In the Edit Link Dates - Meter dialog, select the Beginning link date and enter a time (24-hour format: HH:MM). The date and time must match the Effective start date and time selected in Web UI. It is not necessary to change the Ending link date.

    6. Click OK.

    7. Click Save. Meter 3 is now connected to Service Point B.
