Export tracking
Use Export Tracking to ensure that the billing system is aware of newly imported read data that supersedes data already exported for billing.
In deployments where the meter data management or collection system is responsible for maintaining meter reading schedules, readings can arrive without the customer information system (CIS) knowing about them. If the new readings are for a meter and a time period already exported for billing, only IEE knows that billed data changed.
Export Tracking enables you to create a set of Significance flags and assign them to each export performed. This helps distinguish among exports that use the same task template (such as MV-90 Mainframe) but that are intended for different purposes (such as load research or billing).
An administrator creates Significance flags in the Significance Code Table. Typical flags include Billing, Load Research, Settlements, and Do Not Track. See Significance table.
Assign the Significance when you create an export task instance using the Task templates.
