Task templates

Every IEE task is based on a task template that defines the parameters required to run the task instance. The task templates are based on task types. You can create several templates with task-specific parameters for each task type. You cannot change the task types.

Do not use the default task template. For every task type, create at least one task template for each external system, even if all of the parameters are the same. For example, if you have two external systems receiving data from the AMI Billing Export task type, create a separate task template for each external system.

Many tasks can be run automatically on a data-driven schedule or a recurring schedule. Not every task can be put on every type of schedule. For more information, see Schedules.
