External system attribute name values

Use External System Attribute Name Value to define values for external system attributes. The external systems and external system attribute names must be created in the code tables before they are available for value assignment. See External system table and External system attribute name table. The name values that must be defined depend on the external system.

Note: With Service Mode, there are specific fields that must be defined. For more information, see the Service Mode upgrade and installation guides.

IEE supports several types of attribute values, including the following:

  • Boolean. Enables or disables an attribute. Set to 0 to disable and to 1 to enable.

  • Percentage. Defines a threshold, such as the percent of missing readings in an import file that will trigger a validation warning.

  • Time value. Defines the number of seconds, minutes, or hours allowed for a particular process.

  • ID. Defines port numbers, IP addresses, communication methods, and other values specific to the external system.

  • Custom. Some attributes have a custom list of allowed values that you can select from.
