Estimation priority setting
The Estimation Priority setting at Meter Data Management > Tools > Estimation > Estimation Sets allows you to select prioritization of interval versus register estimation. This allows you to extrapolate an estimated register read using estimated intervals or scale estimated interval reads from an estimated read, resulting in aligned intervals and registers.
This feature ensures that when estimation occurs beyond the most recently received data (as with extrapolation estimation), the estimated intervals align with the estimated registers, or the estimated registers align with the estimated intervals based on the operator's defined preference.
With this functionality, IEE allows an operator to select prioritization of interval versus register estimation, so that register estimation is based from historic estimation of intervals or so that interval estimation is scaled to average daily use register estimation, which ensures that intervals and registers align.
-
Option 1 priority (default): Register estimation = Register validation > Interval validation > Register estimation > Interval estimation > Scaling.
-
Option 2 priority: Interval estimation = Register validation > Interval validation > Interval estimation > Scaling > Register estimation.
Note: Scaling only scales interval data.
