Filtering the item view

Apply filters to the data export queue Item View to control which items are displayed.

  1. Go to AMI > Monitoring > AMI Data Export.

  2. On the Summary View tab, click Item View.

  3. On the Item View tab, click Filter.

  4. Define the filter properties. To activate any of the following filters, select the checkbox to enable the dropdown menu where appropriate.

The filter dialog is divided into four panes.

    Date

Specify the properties related to the request date:

    ClosedDate Type

Defines the date category. The valid values are as follows:

    • Deadline

    • Exception

    • Exported

    • Reading Start

    • Reading End

    • Received

    ClosedRange Type

    • Select Day, Week, or Month for a defined date range.

    • Select Custom to enter start and end dates instead of a defined date range.

    ClosedDate Range

Defines the possible range of dates. This field is dependent on the Date Type. This dropdown displays the last date ranges of the specified Date Type. For example:

    • If Range Type = Day, then Date Range contains dates for the last 30 days.

    • If Range Type = Week, then Date Range contains the dates for the last 6 weeks.

    • If Range Type = Month, then Date Range contains the dates for the last 3 months.

Note: If the Date Type = Deadline, the Date Ranges increase toward the future rather than displaying the past Date Ranges.

    ClosedStart Date

Defines the start of the reading time range. Select a value from the dropdown list. Values displayed in the Start Date field depend on the selected value in the Range Type field.

    ClosedEnd Date

Defines the end of the reading time range.

Select a value from the dropdown list. Values displayed in the End Date field depend on the selected value in the Range Type field.

    Request Status

Check one or more request statuses to view export requests in that status from the Item View.

    Additional Filters

This pane provides additional ways to filter the export requests on the Item View. Check the box to enable a field and select from the list of possible values.

    ClosedRequest ID

The ID that IEE assigns to the export request.

    ClosedQueue Status

A status that can be used to define a secondary set of states that an item moves through while it is in an Exception state. Queue Status is typically used to manage the business process of researching and handling exceptions.

Queue Status values are configured in the Data Export Queue Status code table, and they are only applicable for request items that have a status of Exception.

    ClosedRequesting System

Defines the external system that is making the request. External systems must be configured in the External System code table in the System Administration workbench to appear here. For more information about how to configure the External System code table, see External system table.

Do not use the default task template. For every task type, create at least one task template for each external system, even if all of the parameters are the same. For example, if you have two external systems receiving data from the AMI Billing Export task type, create a separate task template for each external system.

    ClosedExport Template

Defines the export task template employed for the export. For more information about task templates, see Task templates. The task templates you create are based off of one of the following AMI Data Export task types:

    ClosedSchedule

If the source of the request is Schedule, the ClosedSchedule ID is displayed. You can also filter the displayed requests by a specific schedule. Select a schedule from the dropdown list.

Defines the unique schedule ID. When you create a schedule, you assign a unique ID. Schedules start all tasks simultaneously, not sequentially. Tasks that don't require data can start right away; other tasks might first interrogate the database, discover a lack of required data, and wait until that data arrives before running.

    ClosedConfiguration Group

Defines the configuration group name and type. The request may include all entities in a specified configuration group. Entities can be grouped based on their configuration properties for easier processing. For more information about grouping, see Group maintenance. You can also filter the displayed requests by a specific configuration group. Select a configuration group from the dropdown list of all group IDs in IEE.

    ClosedBill Cycle

Defines the bill cycle name that is assigned to the request by the requesting system. The Bill Cycle identifiers are defined in the External System Billing Cycle ID table. Go to System Administration > System Admin > Code Table Setup.

    ClosedOwner

The user ID of the operator handling the active exception. This value is only displayed on the Item View tab if the value in the Status column is Exception.

The Owner can also be used to filter request items based on the user ID handling the active exception. From the Request Item Filter dialog, check the Owner box to enable this pane, and select from the list of possible user IDs. The first user is always the Unassigned user. The other user IDs in the list are users that are assigned to an active exception.

  5. Click Apply.
