Adding a new request
You can create an AMI Data Export request from the AMI Data Export Queue, from both the Summary View tab and the Item View tab.
Note: You must have the necessary security role permissions to create an AMI Data Export Request. For more information, see User role permissions: Descriptions
Click the Add Request button to display the Add Request dialog.
Data Export Template
Defines the export task template employed for the export. For more information about task templates, see Task templates and see the IEE Configuration Guide. The task templates you create are based off of one of the following AMI Data Export task types:
ID Selection
Entity Type
Defines the entity that IEE builds the export file around. It supports all main configuration entities except Premise. The valid values are as follows:
-
Customer
-
Account
-
Meter
-
Service Point
-
Service Point Channel
In a task template, select the type from the dropdown menu and click Search to find the specific ID. Click the appropriate row in the search results and click OK to add the ID to the task template.
The selected Entity Type value, in combination with whether you specify a configuration group or a single entity, affects the following ID field.
For example, the ID field can display any of the following labels:
-
If you clear the Group option, the field label is <Entity Type> ID (default setting).
-
If you select the Group option, the field label is <Entity Type> Groups.
-
If you select Service Point Channel as the Entity Type, two text boxes are displayed for the ID field, one for the service point ID and one for the channel number.
-
If you select multiple entity IDs, this field is disabled and Multiple is displayed. For more information about finding multiple IDs, see Searching for Multiple Entity IDs.
Group box
Check this box to indicate whether the request is for a configuration group. The combination of the specified Entity Type and whether or not it is part of a configuration group, affect the ID field that follows.
ID
The label on this field changes depending on the Entity type specified in the field above, and whether or not the Group box is checked.
-
The label is: <Entity Type> “Group ID” if the Group checkbox is checked
-
The label is <Entity Type> “ID” if the Group box is cleared.
-
If the Entity Type = “Service Point Channel”, two text boxes are displayed, one for the service point ID and one for the channel number.
-
If multiple Entity IDs have been entered, this field is disabled and “(Multiple)” is displayed.
If Entity Type is Account, this field is labeled with Account ID. If the Entity Type is Customer, this field is labeled Customer ID, etc.
Select the Search button to open the standard Using the search utility functionality.
Multiple IDs
Check this box to search for multiple IDs. For more information about how to use the multiple IDs search utility, see Searching for Multiple Entity IDs.
Export Run Time
Enter a date in one of the following fields or click the icon next to the box to display a calendar. IEE performs date checking on these two fields to ensure the dates are appropriate, e.g., the Wait-Until date is before the Deadline date.
Wait-Until Date
Defines a future date for a scheduled export. IEE will not attempt to process the request prior to this date. IEE uses this date when the request is submitted prior to the export process date. This parameter specifies "wait until" the given date to process the export. If this date is in the past, IEE processes the request immediately.
Deadline Date
Defines the date and time by which IEE must return a response to the requesting system, either successfully with a result set, or with a failure acknowledgment. This is a future date, and it must come after the Wait Until date.
Date Selection
The fields in the Date Selection pane depend on the value in the Date Selection Method field.
Date Selection Method
The valid values are as follows.
- All Data Since Last Export
- Select Time Period
If Date Selection Method is All Data Since Last Export, the following fields are displayed:
On Schedule
Defines the unique schedule ID. When you create
Schedules, you assign a unique ID. Schedules start all tasks simultaneously, not sequentially. Tasks that don't require data can start right away; other tasks might first interrogate the database, discover a lack of required data, and wait until that data arrives before running.
Initial Export Method
Defines how to handle entities that are being exported for the first time. The valid values are as follows.
- Start of Occurrence
- Use Previous Schedule
- All Data
Visible when you select All Data Since Last Export as the Date Selection Method.
Initial Export Max Days
Specifies the maximum number of days in the data date range for the initial export on a schedule.
Reading End
Defines the end of the reading date/time range for the export.
If Date Selection Method is Select Time Period, the following fields are displayed:
Time Period
Defines the time span of the data to include in the task for exports, reports, and other tasks. Some common time periods include: Today, Yesterday, Month, Month to Date, Week, Week to Date, Year, and Year to Date.
Reading Start
Defines the start of the reading date/time range of the export.
Reading End
Defines the end of the reading date/time range for the export.
Version Date
Defines the version date of the edited reading. The operator has the ability to edit faulty reading data. When the data is edited, the date of the edit and version number is saved.
Buttons
Reading Groups. Select this button to display a list of
reading groups. Upon selecting a reading group, the reading group Start and End dates are used to populate the reading Start and End date fields here.
A reading group identifies a group of physical readings that are imported or collected by IEE at the same time and processed as a set.
