Blending Tab

The Blending Weights Tab presents weight values for available for Blending Weight Sets. Blending weight Sets are applied in the Model Method - MetrixND Custom Model when the Blend checkbox is checked. These values specify the weight to be placed on the Hour Ahead model based on the number of periods ahead of the last actual value.

Adding a Blending Weight Set

• To add a new weight set, click the Add button on the toolbar. The new Blending Weight Set appears. For the Weight Set define the following fields.

  • BlendingWeightID. This is the unique identifier.

  • Description. This is the description.

  • MPI. This is the periodicity (minutes per interval). Blending Weights sets may only be applied to models with the same MPI.

• Add weights by using the Insert Contributor action and enter the weight. Weights for periods are added sequentially and defined by the following columns.

  • Period. This is the number of periods from the last actual value.

  • Weight. This is the weight that is applied to the Hour Ahead model.

• Click OK or Apply to save the new Blending Weight set.

Editing a Blending Weight Set

• To edit an existing Blending Weight Set, select the Weight Set field and expand (+) it to see the Contributors list.
• Edit the values as desired and Click OK or Apply. Changes are saved.

Deleting a Blending Weight Set

• To Delete an existing Blending Weight Set, select the Weight Set and click the Delete button in the toolbar. If the selected weight set is used in any model, an information message box appears notifying the user that the weight set cannot be deleted. Otherwise, the selected weight set is removed from the Blending Weight Set list.
