Exporting FDM Lists to CSV Files

Many FDM contents panes include an Export to CSV File button . This button lets you export the list as currently filtered and sorted to a comma-separated values (CSV) file (also called a comma-delimited plain-text file). CSV files can be imported into other instances of the FDM server client, eliminating the need to re-enter data (for more information, see Importing FDM List Items from CSV, XML, TXT, and BMR Files), as well as into other applications, including Microsoft Excel.

  1. Click Export to CSV File in the contents pane command toolbar.

FDM displays a standard Windows Save As dialog box.

  2. Navigate to the location on your system where you want FDM to save the file. Accept or replace the default file name and click Save.

Note: Dates and times that appear in exported CSV files are local dates and times as set on the FDM server.
