Intelis Gas Meter in Network Mode Check Endpoint Response Fields

This section describe the Intelis Gas Meter's Check Endpoint response fields for Check Endpoint Status, FWDL Status, and Check Firmware Versions.

The following table describes the response fields for the Check Endpoint Status command:

Response Field

Description

Endpoint Id

The endpoint’s device identification number.

Temperature Corrected Index

The consumption value with temperature compensation applied.

Non Temperature Corrected Index

The consumption value with no applied temperature compensation.

Primary Index Correction

Indicates if the primary index is temperature compensated or non-temperature compensated

Volume Under Alarm

The volume of usage that occurred under an alarm.

Device Type

The endpoint model (Intelis Gas Meter or Gen5 Intelis Gas Meter).

Image Transfer Status

The meter's current programmed meter configuration.

Display Units

The meter's selected unit in which it displays capacity:

  • Imperial. Cubic feet per hour (CFH).
  • Metric. Cubic meters per hour (CMH).

Count Rate

The metrology value used with PCOMP, rollover, and counts to calculate the consumption value.

PCOMP

The pressure compensation value programmed into the endpoint to compensate for the effect of atmospheric pressure on recorded consumption.

  • None. The endpoint is not configured for pressure compensation

Valve State

The meter valve's current open or closed state:

  • Open. The valve is open and gas is flowing.
  • Closed. The valve is closed and gas flow is stopped.
  • Arm. the valve is primed to open when the meter's hardware button is pressed.

Service Control State

Indicates whether the meter is connected to gas service.

Valve Actuation Count

The number of times the meter's valve has been operated.

Initial Reading

The meter reading on the register, at the time the ERT was last programmed.

Auto Wakeup Enable

Whether the Automatic Factory Mode Wakeup on Pulses Detected setting is enabled or not.

  • False
  • True

Active Events

The number of events that were active at the time of the Check Endpoint operation. The field name is a hyperlink that opens a list of the meter's tampers. See Intelis Gas Meter Events or Gen5 Intelis Gas Meter Events for descriptions of the events.

Battery Status

The state of the endpoint battery's electrical charge:

  • Good. The battery's charge is at greater than 10 percent of capacity.
  • Bad. The battery's charge is at 10 or less of capacity.

Battery Counter

The amount of battery energy, in micro-amp-seconds, that has been used since the device was manufactured.

SSID

A 1- to 5-digit decimal representation of the Service Set Identification. All active devices in a utility company's service area must use the same SSID.

Time Drift

The number of hours/min/sec that the endpoint time has drifted from the network time.

Registration Status Bits

Indicates whether the endpoint is registered successfully. Responds with a True or False value for each of the following:

  • Endpoint Functions Correctly
  • Operations Manager Connection
  • Multicast Addresses Written

The field name is a hyperlink that opens Registration Status Bits, where you can view more details.

High Flow Sampling Frequency

How often, in days, that the meter is analyzed for a high flow event.

High Flow Aggregation Window

The rolling window over which a high flow event can be created.

High Flow Threshold

The threshold at which a high flow event is created. Automatic shutoff will occur if it is enabled.

High Temperature Threshold

The temperature at which a high temperature event is created. Automatic shutoff will occur if it is enabled.

Automatic High Flow Shutoff

Whether the meter is programmed to shut off automatically in response to a high flow event.

Automatic High Temperature Shutoff

Whether the meter is programmed to shut off automatically in response to a high temperature event.

Test Mode Maximum Time

The amount of time, in hours, that the meter remains in test mode before it automatically exits test mode.

Test Mode Pulse Width

The selected pulse width that is used during test mode.

Test Mode Pulse Weight

The selected pulse weight that is used during test mode.

Roll Over

The maximum possible meter reading before the dials roll over to zero. The number of nines shown in this field corresponds to the number of meter dials. This setting is used with PCOMP, count rate, and counts to calculate the consumption value.

Projected Remaining Years

The meter's estimated remaining years left of battery life, calculated based on the current Battery Counter value which takes into account battery usage due to past endpoint operations. Because the amount of future operations is dependent on how the utility interacts with the endpoint, the Projected Remaining Years is not a guarantee of remaining endpoint battery life.

Register Firmware

The meter register firmware's version number.

Configuration Tag

The current configuration attached to the device.

Current Gas Temperature

The current temperature reading and unit of measure for both Celsius and Fahrenheit.

Number of FWDL Initiated

The number of firmware download (FWDL) operations that have been initiated in the endpoint.

The following table describes the response fields for the FWDL Status command:

Response Field

Description

Image Transfer Status

Indicates the current status of the firmware image download.

Valid values:

  • Image Transfer Not Initiated
  • Image Transfer Initiated
  • Image Verification Initiated
  • Image Verification Successful
