SetMeter

This element creates or updates a meter configuration or links a meter to the service point. Itron recommends that you do not include SetMeter elements in the baseline file. Typically, SetMeter is a child of SetServicePoint. However, you can use SetMeterat the top level to update meter configuration without affecting the service point.

Usage: Required for all.

Note: Use the MDI SetMeter element to set service points, but not distribution equipment. For distribution equipment, use the Distribution Equipment Hierarchy (DEH) interface format.
