This section provides information about new and enhanced features and resolved issues in the user interface, APIs, and back office.

This release includes APIs that have been created to enable integration with utility business systems, including real-time control systems, forecasting solutions, ADMS systems, as well as offline systems such as distribution planning and customer program solutions.

The following APIs have been created to enable integration with utility business systems, including real-time control systems, forecasting solutions, ADMS systems, as well as offline systems such as distribution planning and customer program solutions. See the following API topics for complete information:

  • Put Solar Registered

  • Get Solar Awareness Premises

  • Get Solar Awareness Streaming

  • Get Solar Awareness Generation

This is the initial Solar Awareness release. It includes applications available through the EAC and user interfaces based in Qlik.

Solar Awareness is a distributed intelligence (DI) application that analyzes output from a DI meter or a utility back office to detect the presence of solar generation behind the meter. It identifies solar generation start and stop times and the magnitude of generation at configurable intervals during the generation session. This data can be configured to be pushed to utility systems for near-real-time actions.

Utilities can access a user interface that displays the following output information for each service point:

  • Presence of photovoltaic (PV) equipment behind the meter

  • Date the presence of PV generation was first detected

  • Date of the most recent detected PV generation

  • Max generation

  • Time series of disaggregated energy

    • Time series of generation

  • Each generating session (generally each day)

    • Generation start time

    • Generation end time

    • Max generation

    • Total energy (kWh)
