Host system requirements
Using the recommended system requirements for running OHS will help ensure uninterrupted functionality. The configurations shown in the following tables are based on scale and reliability tests conducted on Azure virtual machines.
Minimum recommended system requirements
The following hardware configuration is suitable for test environments and small-scale production usage (less than 50 thousand endpoints).

Medium-scale recommended system requirements
The following hardware configuration is suitable for a medium-scale environment (up to 1.2 million endpoints) using a machine on which OHS is installed as a standalone service. CPU and memory resources are not shared by other applications. The configuration can be further scaled based on the projected load on OHS.

The following hardware configuration is suitable for a large-scale environment (1.2 million or more endpoints) using a machine on which OHS is installed as a standalone service. CPU and memory resources are not shared by other applications. The configuration can be further scaled based on the projected load on OHS.
