MTS Logs
Accessible from the main menu under Outcomes, the MTS logs report enables you to view any error messages recorded in the system. MTS logs record issues with MTS itself, not with the data flowing through the system. Any logged errors should be referred to IT for investigation, to determine if there is a problem with the database or MTS.
The table reflects the specified date or date range and any applied filters.
Important! The date range defaults to the current day. To modify the date range, click the calendar icon () in the page header. You can select presets for Today, Yesterday and today, Yesterday, Last 7 days, Last 30 days, This month, Previous month, or Custom range. The Custom range option allows you to edit the date range (the beginning date can be up to six months in the past). The data displayed on the page updates accordingly.
Tip: To filter the table by known Application Type values, click the filter icon () to open a dialog box. From here, select any of the available items listed by Application type.
The table consists of the following columns:
-
Datetime. The date and time that the error occurred, with the newest entries first.
Note: The table is always sorted by this column.
-
Application type. The type used by some of the applications when logging to the database.
Tip: Use the filtering function (
) to group errors by category.
- Error message. Database error message. May include multiple Oracle code/description pairs.
- Context. Stack trace of the error. Includes the Oracle error number, database object, and code line.
- Module. Location and line where the error was detected.
- Application error message. Error message generated by the application itself.
- User. The application or user conducting the action that experienced an error. Typically, this will be MTS_APP.
- Error code. Error number used for the particular error. In the case of multiple errors (as listed in the Error message field), this code reflects the most recent error.
The Actions menu () in the page header provides the following options:
- Export. Creates a
.csv
or.xlsx
file that contains work order details for the selected date range. The export will contain all rows returned by the current filter, unless one or more rows have been selected (in this case, only those rows will be exported). The export will contain only the columns displayed on the screen, in the same order. - Column order. Enables you to adjust the order of the columns. The adjusted order will persist in subsequent views if you use the same device and browser.
- Column visibility. Enables you to adjust which columns are visible or hidden. The adjusted visibility will persist in subsequent views if you use the same device and browser.
