UMS Device Types
The UMS device types screen displays the current device details in the MTS system. Each device included in the UMS inventory file has a device type and control code.
Important! The UMS module must be installed for this screen to appear. Only user personas with roles that include the "View Lamp Types" grant can view this screen.
The table can be sorted by any column by clicking the desired column header. By default, the table is sorted by Description. The table consists of the following columns:
- Description. The description of the device type.
- Nominal rating. The nominated energy rating for the device.
- Actual rating watt. The actual energy rating for the device.
- Updated date. The date and time the control type was inserted or modified, displayed in local date/time format.
- Updated by. The MTS user who inserted or modified the control type.
To add a UMS device type, use the following procedure.
Note: The option to add a device type is available only to user personas with roles that include the "Create And Manage Lamp Types" grant.
- Click the Add icon (
) at the bottom of the screen. - In the dialog box that appears, complete the following fields:
- Description. A description of the new device type of up to 80 characters.
- Nominal rating. The nominated energy rating for the new device of up to 10 characters.
- Actual rating watt. The actual energy rating for the device. Accepts a maximum of six integers plus two decimal places (for example, 123456.00).
- Click Add.
The new device type appears in the UMS device types table and automatically includes an Updated date value and an Updated by value.
